Origins

Born on a Wednesday represents a 14 year musical collaboration of 5 unique songwriters. While remaining grounded in the love of sharing music with one another, Born on a Wednesday has matured into a sound that feels intimately familiar and genuine.

 

With a style that draws from range of musical influences, it continues to be the compelling songwriting that gives Born on a Wednesday a sound that bends through many genres but is uniquely theirs. 

 

Hometown: Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.

Our Sound

This band of 5 songwriters, each with a unique style, collaborate on original song material. Their sound ranges across the spectrum of country, folk and blues with hints of soul and groove.  

 

Lead vocals rotate with each song, with backup harmonies present on most tracks.  There is a range of acoustic and electric instruments that include slide, harp, mandolin, guitar and bass.  It all comes together give Born on a Wednesday a sound that bends through many genres but is uniquely theirs.
